App Smash #2

With this app smash, I would like to have my students review the steps for slide and divide factoring and put that to use by making a game the class can play for review. Most students have either access to a computer at home or can use their smart phones to access this thinglink. They will be able to review the steps I took in class on the educreations video and even hear my voice like they are in class. After viewing the video as many times as needed, they will then be able to watch the YouTube video on how to make their own Kahoot! quiz. I thought they may enjoy this more than just creating the problems and writing them down for a review. This way it is now a game and their classmates can compete against each other using their own problems. I love the educreations app. Math is such a hard subject to attempt at home by yourself as a student. Especially the first few days of learning the material. Having your teacher’s voice and steps for the problem has proved very beneficial for my students. It is like they are sitting with me in my classroom. Kahoot! is a game that my students love. They are very competitive and I love seeing them argue over math problems. Thinglink is a great resource I just recently found to place all of these great resources in one place. I am still working on the design element of Thinglink and how I can make it more for the audience I am trying to reach. I am excited about the opportunities this course is providing me with and cant wait to learn more.
